www.optimarin.com - OptiMarin AS based in Stavanger, Norway is one of the pioneers of the emerging ballast water treatment industry, with shipboard installations starting in April 2000. The OptiMarin Ballast System is based on filtration and a proprietary high powered UV. The OptiMarin Ballast System installed aboard the Princess Cruises Regal Princess was the worlds first ballast water treatment system aboard an operating vessel. OptiMarin AS has since delivered another 6 systems to make a total of 7 systems onboard 7 vessels.
